Let me tell you it is not a barrier for you to be a EEE graduate to come into IT. I realized that it is so difficult to get into my core sector, but didn't know about actual IT opportunities. After meeting the STEPS counselor, got a clear understanding of various IT jobs for freshers and chosen Software Testing as it was more matching to my personal skills and interests. I joined for training STEPS, which is a totally different work environment compared to typical college or training institute set up. Gaining a lot of confidence and skills from there, on completion, the next day itself I got job also at Spectrum. I am happily working as a software tester now.

Myself Hridhya, a 2016 BE Electronics pass out. I took Electronics with an eye on both the sectors as Electronics and IT, but thinking of IT, I was confused. After completing the course, when I considered IT, I was suggested by others that programming will be a good career and joined for Dot Net training. I was trained at Spectrum under the STEPS training program and got job also there immediately after training.

On researching about it, I found STEPS as a live company training and joined it. It is a good training experience to get some live projects under skilled IT professionals.
